On 19 and 20 November, the Port of Rotterdam Authority’s executive board met with our clients at RDM and Portlantis for the annual Rotterdam Port Meeting. Boudewijn Siemons and Matthijs van Doorn updated them on the latest developments in the port. Afterwards, there was room for discussion with each other. The purpose of these meetings is to work together towards a future-proof port and provide insight into the strategic course.

The new transport concept from Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (Accessible South Holland) and the Port of Rotterdam Authority makes travelling to the port easier and more affordable. New offshore wind terminal at Maasvlakte
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is developing a 45-hectare terminal in the northwest corner of the Maasvlakte, specifically for offshore wind activities. This location offers space for storage, transhipment, installation, and (pre-)assembly of wind turbine components and foundations. With direct nautical access to the sea, heavy-duty quays and high-quality logistics facilities, this will be a crucial link in the energy transition.
