*Each terminal sets its own conditions for viewing terminal data. These conditions may vary between terminals and between data elements. You will find an overview of this here.

Pilot 1: Single source of truth

Portbase is the executive organisation of the Port of Rotterdam Authority and the Port of Amsterdam for digitally connecting the port community. Our goal is to make cargo and data flows through the Dutch ports and connected chains as efficiently, sustainably and safely as possible. Together with other players involved, including terminals, shipping companies, transporters and the government, we are working on building the smartest port communities. Our Port Community System (PCS) acts as the digital basis in this regard.

Data straight from the terminals’ planning system

You need the Portbase Cargo Controller service to receive terminal data from RWG, APMT and/or ECT. This service is available through a web interface or an API link that can be fully integrated into your own system.

Centralising these data points in just one environment means that shippers and forwarders no longer need to consult different systems and screens for their planning. All partners in the chain can also collaborate in Cargo Controller and share information and cargo updates simultaneously. This saves time, improves communication and streamlines collaboration throughout the entire chain.

These data elements come straight from the terminal’s planning system. They contain current reliable information such as the expected discharge time. It is even more accurate than the data event already available in Cargo Controller under ‘Vessel departure’. Based on this information, you can proactively plan and respond to changes at the terminal in a timely manner. The result: optimised container flow, reduced waiting times for drivers and improved efficiency in the Port of Rotterdam and its hinterland.
